A platform for underrepresented founders and teams in the Web3 space to submit their pitch decks and a short survey in a few minutes.

Up to 20 investors review the decks and independently reach out if they're interested. Investors each write checks between $50K—$3M+.

The focus of this project is to provide everyone in the Web3 space the opportunity to showcase their project to the best investors in the space without needing a warm introduction. We provide equal opportunities for everybody to be seen.

We highly encourage underrepresented founders and those without much access to investor communities to use this platform. We want to create an environment fostering fairness and equal opportunities.

Projects in the stages pre-seed to Series A, including equity and/or token investment opportunities can be submitted.

Why join as an Investor?

We charge no fees to investors or start-ups, it is merely an initiative to provide more diverse Web3 deal flow to VCs and bridging an important gap in the market, enabling equal opportunities. The website is not complete yet, however it will be naming the partnering VCs, explaining the mission and vision of this initiative and provide a clear FAQ section for founders (see below).  We are doing the Web3 version of: https://www.seedchecks.com/

We are pleased to share that we already have some VCs on board including HV Capital, and Tech Nation, now part of the Founders Forum Group, are enthusiastic about backing and promoting this initiative.

Goodwin, a reputable law firm, is also on board.

We have started reaching out to investors since mid January 2024.

Opportunities for Collaboration:

As part of Distributed Funding, we are bringing together top voices from leading VCs to enable:

  1. Increased deal flow for your fund from diverse founders and teams.
  2. The possibility of co-investing with other top funds or individuals.
  3. The ability to share deals within a curated group of investors. Start-ups can also be redirected to the platform if they may not align with fund thesis. Portfolio companies who are raising can also be directed to the platform.
  4. A way to clearly and outwardly support underrepresented founders.

Problem we are Solving:

Founders are often burdened with the overwhelming task of fundraising, diverting their focus from what they do best – building their businesses. The current process involves time-consuming efforts in identifying suitable investors, finding contact details, and individually reaching out. Additionally, the prevalent preference for warm introductions in the venture capital space further exacerbates the challenge, excluding talented individuals outside established networks and contributing to diversity issues within the industry.

Our Solution:

Distributed Funding is designed to provide equal opportunities to all founders. Our tool allows founders to submit pitch decks and a brief survey in just a few minutes, automatically adding their information to our database. This database is reviewed bi-weekly by our investors and their teams. If there is interest, investors will independently reach out to the founders, streamlining the entire process.
